09 Recall?

Was wondering if anyone else has heard about a recall on there 09 M's? My dealer told me that pretty much all M sled need to be brought to the dealer to have a fitting tightened up. They said it was under the hood comming from the fuel pump in the tank. Said it would only take a second to fix. They said some are leaking fuel under the hood. Anyone heard about this?

Can someone take a picture of the fitting needing tightened and post it. My dealer is 400mi away so any info would help thanks

Yep

You are right it is. It just came we have not had any with this issue. It is just the nut that holds the fuel pump in.

better copy of recall

any one have a better copy of the recall so you can read serial numbers,etc.

When you bring up the pic on the post above click on the picture, then click on it again and it gets bigger...at least on my PC it does.

I'm gonna try and see if I can do this in less than the 12 minutes Arctic Cat is allocating for the dealer service.

Just checked mine. Only 12 miles on my 09 M8 162 Sno Pro(built end of July).

There was a little fuel residue down the side of the tank and on top of the bulkhead. Just would pick up a little moisture with my finger.

Not a lot

I tightened it with a 15/16" open end wrench turned sideways

Didn't take much to get a half of turn

Makes sense to me

I will keep an eye on it

same as GlennRMK, easy fix, about 10 minutes total. 1/2 turn and was totaly
tight.

I got a bit more than a 1/4 turn on mine and it felt good and tight so I stopped there.

 

[RACINSTATION]

Just be carefull not to tighten to much. The fitting is soft and can break off easily so just make sure it is snug. NO PIPE WRENCHES.
