09 Nytro XTX Rear Suspension (144 Skid) Mount Measurements

Who has accurate measurements for the stock skid mounts on the new Nytro XTX with the 144 skid?

I assume that these measurements will be relative to the center of the axle with 8-tooth drivers.

I am putting it in a 2003 Viper Mtn chassis, so any input on ride height might be helpful also. I will likely create a triangle template (Driveshaft - Front - Rear) and rotate it on the driveshaft until the track will be flat on the ground. This will determine how high or low my mount locations will be.

I am expecting to have to make brackets at least for the rear.

Anybody got any input?

Who can measure the mount locations and verify which drivers come stock ???

Please help if you can !!!

Thanks for reponding !!!

I am in Howell, I have a new takeoff XTX skid, but no sled to get the measurements from. I plan to mount it in a Mtn Viper with the stock tunnel.

I am guessing that I need to not only get each mount to axle measurement and the mount to mount measurement, but I also need to calculate the ride height as the 2 chassis' are quite different. I have yet to slide the skid under the tunnel. The chassis is bare except for the belly pan right now, and has the stock Mtn 144 ProAction (2003) mounts in place.

Where are you at?

I hope to measure one tomorrow. Does anyone have numbers to double check against?

Measured one but was in a hurry. Can someone please post measurements to validate my numbers?

I measured from the flat of the driveshaft and here is what I came up with. Sorry it is metric, as the tape I used had poor standard markings to use so I used the metric side.

front hole is 20 cm and the rear is 93 cm

At least that is what I came up with let me know what you had

My quick layout on the Viper shows the front mount falls right in the middle of where the steering gate mounts on the tunnel.

Anybody got any advice?

This measurement is without allowing any difference for going from 9-tooth drivers on the donor sled (2009 Nytro XTX) to 8-tooth extros on the Viper. But that is only about 1/2 inch right?

Does Hartman have an email address or phone number?

Can anybody else help?

I have the following measurements

Axle center to front mount center 8.53 inches (21.7 cm) ---- compared to 21.35 cm (your measurement)
Axle center to rear mount center 37.09 inches (94.2 cm) ---- compared to 94.35 cm (your measurement)
Front mount center to rear mount center 28.5 inches (72.4 cm)

Tunnel brace (protector) to front mount center 5.125 inches (13 cm)
Tunnel brace (protector) to rear mount center 9 inches (22.7 cm)
Tunnel brace (protector) to axle center ??????? I don't have this

How does this line up with others measurements???

Most dealers have XTX's sitting on the showroom floor now. Grab you tame measure and head to your local dealer. I know for a fact Great Lakes Powersports in Flint has several on the floor.

I cannot get an accurate measurement with the skid in the sled.

Anyone who has one torn down have the measurements?

Anybody got any advice for the skid swap? 9T to 8T offset?

I do have the XTX skid and the 2003 Mtn Viper skid sitting side by side on the floor right now, would pics help?

Here is my current approach -

take a piece of flat stock and drill holes to match the front and rear mount CTC. Then with the drive axle and track in the sled, position the skid so that track tension and ride height and attitude will work.

Those of you who have fitted a lot of skids please comment or give tips on this endeavor.
