How do you release the post from the swivel point at the bulkhead? Is there a pin to remove or special tool required.

Tip it on its side, between the track and the front of the tunnel you will see a bolt. Much easier than it sounds.

If you look up under the tunnel in front of the drivers you will see a nut, that's the bottom of the steering post.

Worse part is U have to remove yer gas tank and pull it back a few inches to get the bellhousing thru the 2 teflon brackets to remove it.

or move the A frame fwd slightly, 4 screws, 2 nuts

Changed way too many posts...

+1. You need to take one bolt out (top) on each side in the lower part of the A Frame to get it to rock forward. Located near the secondary and near the brake rotor on the other side. Just loosen the other 2 and it will easily pull forward.

Thats the way to do it. Make sure you have a long extension (10") and a swivel adapter to get to that nut under the track. Makes life a lot easier.

you will need to hold the swivel bolt from the top with a 1/2 inch wrench otherwise it will spin. its very easy to change , it about a 30 min job

Or just take the 2 lil easily assesible nutz off he rear of gas tank and slide it back a few inches. Actually the easiest.

Gotta give it a try, sounds time consuming at first, but hell, I'll try it.
