09 M8 Rpm

I run a Cat Gold Primary, CPC torsion secondary/their recomended spring and helix, with 68g Cat weights, for 9000 feet.

On the dyno sheets, the max horsepower is at 7800 rpm's. Look under the hood, near the primary clutch and there should be a little clutching chart with elevation recommendations, and what the max rpm's should be. If you are pulling a 2-3 hundred rpm's lower than 7800, then I would recommend dropping a little weigt, maybe a gram, or two.

Yup, good idea!

Maybe an SLP spring? The stock spring is a 122/285 spring.

There are 120/310 springs and 120/340 springs

There are also 140/310 and 140/340

and of course the 160/310 and 160/340

If you would like stock like engagement try one of the 120 springs.

To gain some RPM the 310 might give you??? Maybe 75-150 RPM?

The 340 might give you 150-200? You'd have to try it to see how much you actually gain.

You can also go to a stiffer secondary spring to help eak another few RPMs out of your setup.

You can go to a slightly lower angle helix too to gain some RPM, are you running the stock 36 degree helix?

I'd try the SLP 140/340 primary spring first. It's only about $20 and if it works (and I think it will) it will save you some money.

If you are turning 7,500-7,600 you should be awfully close to 7,700-7,800 with just this spring change.
