09 M8 rode for the first time and the spark plug wires kept coming off the plugs, anyone else having this problem?

I had this same problem on an 02 RMk 800. I just put zip lock straps around the plug boot and snugged up on the zip tie

funny, this just happened to me last ride, 09 m8 hcr... going to check it a little more often now...

yes this happend to me twice iin three days.. mine was on the back clutch side and now it does not seem to want to idle or it sounds like **** when it idles.. guessing i fouled a plug.. and i pushed it on tight so i dont know what is going on.. if it does it again im going to bring it in and make them put a new wire on it..

oh and i already tore my track two.. not a good deal

but like the sled..

You should feel the plug cap snap into place and not see any white. On the old sleds I was told not having a plug in the wire while there was power to the coil it could wipe out the coil. Sometimes the metal end in the cap can pull out so that the plug doesnt snap in the end it just sit on the outside, look in the end of the plug wire to see if the wire cap is in the right place in the rubber cap.

I made sure the wire was all the way on, rode about a mile checked again and multiple wires off. I think I will take the bottom rubber boot off and try it that way.

i noticed a few of mine were loose... ('08) so i just took a needle nose pliers and squished the metal abit in the spark plug boot and now its nice and tight on the plug. dont squeeze too much or it wont go on.
