Went to change the fluid in my DD in my 09 m8. put the new fluid in and went to put the fill bolt back in and it is completley stripped. I didn't cross thread it, I didnt tighten it to tight, the bolt didnt even snug at all just stripped. To add it happend after I put my new fluid in. Not a gotta drain the new stuff and pull the diamind drive. How should I fix this? Just drill and tap a new hole? Or could it be a warrenty thing? Sorry it made me a little frusterated. Thanks for the help

If theres enough material and your crafty, pull the cover and go find a automotive drain plug, drill retap, just make sure its not too long !

thats a good idea, thanks! Figured warrenty would be worth a shot, I'd like to make it so that it doesn't happen again. The cover is to thin there in my opinion
ditto on the heli-coil if there's enough for one to grab onto, haven't really looked at that spot, it does seem pretty thin.
going to hopefully take it to a friends who's a machinest tommorow
