parts seem pretty cheap if its easy to fit.....

#12 GUSSET,TUNNEL ROLL-LH-CAST $7.22
#12 GUSSET,TUNNEL ROLL-RH-CAST $7.22
#15 BUMPER,REAR-162"-FORMED/MACH (162) $42.46
#20 TAILLIGHT,LED-1.5" X 9.5" (10" LEAD) $42.46
#22 SNOWFLAP,LONG-INJ MOLD $41.61

So $141 bucks + rivots and this includes the flap with tail light?

someone has to have done this share PLEEAASE!!!!

I just did mine. 153. Fairly easy. The only issues are:

1) The tunnel corner coolers have holes in different places. Just drill new ones.
2) The edge rails on 07's are different. I had to grind the gussets to get them to fit in the rails and drill new holes
3) The 07 edges don't have as deep of a groove for the tunnel, so you have to shave about 1/8" off each side of the tunnel extension.
4) The hoses from the tunnel coolers to the rear cooler need to be replaced. I bought some from an auto parts store for $10.

Still, pretty easy mod.

Change 07-08-to 09

We do it for 600 installed or about 400 for parts.

I think you should do Coolers. When we do it we put all new parts on it.

Christian,

Here are the pics you PM'd me about. You can see the coolers work fine. Note the extra holes I had to drill and the new hoses.

In your parts list you forgot about the tunnel extension, end cap, and cooler. I would recommend getting the 09 cooler as the older ones will not rivet up well. I think my total cost was about $350.

bdx bumper kit is about $150 and comes with stencils to help cut the side rails. if you do a search for a thread "bdx bumper kit installed the sandman way" there are ton of pics of installs. heres a couple of mine. this and a set of no-snos and you've got one AWESOME tunnel. glad ac finally caught up. in the deep pow you will not believe the difference, it truely is a new experience. just be careful went to turn hard up a hill last season and did a 180 degree turn, they will turn on a dime. the one main difference i did notice is you have to be a lot more careful when sidehilling, the rear end wants to slide out like when you are sidehilling an atv. not awfully bad but not as secure as before. the benefits far outweigh this little difference. polish not included... its not in the pics but you can 2 wheel kit the back of the skid by cutting the stock axle and then tapping new holes in the axle. if you look real close in the last pic i've done the 2 wheel kit. these mods are what have made the 09 M all the rage. you can do it all yourself for about $300 with the no sno's. i gaurantee you'll love it!!!

This is what I done. I used a VE rear tunnel section and running board edges. The 09 bumper with a flattened 06 heat exchanger. A King Cat flap, Four Barr LED, and a Mountain Addiction gas rack.

Here's my 07 with BDX bumper and 09 tail light and flap. I also used the 09 crosspiece to support my cooler but I still afraid I might damage it as it's kind of exposed now???

I have a 162" track to put on to replace my 153 on an 08 m1000. Would this BDX kit provide the extension needed? What would be the best/most cost effective way to do this stretch?

Thanks

Would anyone happen to know the part numbers for the LH/RH Gussets and 162" rear bumper?

Right gusset.............5606-594
Left gusset..............5606-595
Rear tunnel..............5606-500
End cap..................5606-253
Bumper...................5606-479
Snowflap................5606-525
Taillight..................5606-855
Heat exchanger.......4706-176

Thanks for all the input, mine is done. I was gonna fab out a flush rear piece to tie in the corners but figured it was a waste of time. Raise the bumper as high as it goes. Cut square hole for the 09 flap to slide in and a rear enforment under cooler don to hold the flap

sorry for the low quality pics(cell phone)

They claim the powerclaw holds a sidehill much better without breaking loose so the new track should help holding a sidehill. I need some snow and I would let you know how it works. Sandman when you going to put a powerclaw on that thing, you have a nice sled.
