09 m1000sno pro getting hot

I would remove the insulation under the hood and either vent around the gauge or pick up on of the gauge mounts from aftermarketproducts.com . Taking out the insulation gives you more air flow and the other will give you venting in the highest point and heat rises. Also there is a few companies out there that make vents for the top of the hood in front of the head lights. some of the comanies are xxxmods, moflo, and I think maybe 2cool have the hood vent kits.

gut it

my first ride out on my m1000-'07, i melted the PV cables down the the metal. they make these things so sound proof for the greenies that they are hotter stock.

rip all that stuff out of there and put in some side vents. I just got a hood vent for above the pipe from MOFLOW. we will see how it works. i worry my pipe might run to cool, we will see. i want to move some air through this thing....

I forgot to mention I also wrapped the Y pipe and the pipe with header wrap. To keep the pipe hot but it also keeps the heat out of the engine compartment. One roll of the 1" will cover from the motor to the factory insultaion. I think the easiest way to get in touch with Moflo is on myspace there is pictures of the vents on there.
