09 helix worth the $?

my dealer wants $125 to put the 09 helix in my 08 163", is it going to be worth the money?

Doubtfull unless they also change the primary settup as well...even then, there are probably better settups out there than the stock '09. Time will tell, not aware of anyone that has had a '09 on some deep climbs yet, just road riding which means little on a mountain sled.

Primary ramps and spring are also different for '09.

I would wait until we get somemore time on the 09's. We had one out last friday and it ran very well against my 08. Clutching seemed a lot better, but we were only racing on the flat. Give it a couple more weeks.

From what I have heard the only thing BRP is covering is putting the '09 drive shaft in the '08 sleds. $$$ for any other '09 parts come out of your pocket, but they may cut you a deal. Probably still get stuck paying full price but they'll tell you your getting a deal.

Just buy someones aftermarket clutch kit if you don't know enough to set it up yourself. I would not waste money on Ski-Doo factory setup

We ran these on our sleds last year and they were amazing.....held the RPM's all the way through a pull clutches were cool and the backshift coming down hill was amazing.

changes your primary spring some pin weight and a new helix. Well worth the $$$

It was the best solution IMHO for the 08'
