09 hcr

I'm looking for any input on the HCR! I rode a 03 1m 900 last 4 years and found a deal on a HCR. My questions are, I like to boondock and climb is the HCR the right choice or would you go with a SP or std m8? Any problems with the HCR as a all around sled? and best mods as far as can,pipe, y pipe or air box? Any input is great I don't know to much about the HCR. thanks. Don

M8 hcr

I would consider myself an above average rider and although I don't have expierence on the sled you currenlty ride, I will tell you the HCR is a hell of a sled any 09 M8 is for that matter. Not sure what the deal is but you will be happy with the sled and no major issues I have heard of with the HCR's. good luck and enjoy if you decide to buy.

I have an 08 m1000 and a 09 SP M8 162. I would probably go with a 153 if I were not 6'5" an 280 ish. ok ok closer to 290lbs. plus gear yikes!

Good luck.

I have an 09 HCR and it far and away the best sled I have ever had. I came off a Mod M7 and it would run away from my M7. I prefer the wider front end and the 90 duro track works great in the heavier costal snow that we get in my area (though I didn't have any problems when I rode in light powder one time either). I have installed the SLP exhaust package, BDX intake and a RKT head and the all improved the performance of the engine. Hope this helps and if you decide to pull the trigger I'm guessing that you won't regret it.:beer;

yep

I love my hcr, and it performs great in all conditions. Its so easy to throw around in the trees, and responds to whatever you want it to do. The harder duro track does lose a little in pure powder, but has taken me everywhere I need or shoud be. I'v run her pinned to the bars, straight up, flipped her a couple times, hit several trees, and plenty more fun times to come. 700 miles, venting, original belt, no issues. good luck. Tim
