I have a 09 Dragon 155" and the hifax is warn to the line in the middle area of the track. I use the ice scracher.
The 09 had no wheels sould I add some? I was thinking of putting a set in the middle on the inside.
Anyone use the MCB Super Slippery hifax?

Thanks

Check your track tension, how many miles on hyfax? The scratchers should do the job

I'm right at 400 miles on my 09 D8 and the hyfax has held up just fine. I was really good about using my scratchers in the spring and often kick snow onto the hyfax whenever I stop. Sounds like you did a lot of high speed trail riding? Maybe wheels would be a good idea for you if you get that much exposure to your hyfax.

I've got over 1100 miles on my 08 rmk 600 and still have maybe 300 left before I change the hyfaxes. I have no scratchers, just the stock front wheels and do the same type riding with my buddies that have all the fancy suspension with scratchers stuff. They seem not to get any better longevity from their hyfaxes. Of course I do pay attention to the conditions and drag my feet alot.

hyfx

I have 800 miles on my 163. i was very careful to always have scratches deployed when on hard pack. Spend very little time on the trail. Front strap is let all the way out( which puts more preasure on the front part of the hyfx. And mine are down to the line. I'm putting slp's hyperfx's on and clipping the rest of the track. hopefully that will do the trick.

Jeff95 stay off the trails!!! I have 2000 miles on my 08 with no bogies and still looks good. Going up tomarrow supposed to get 11-19" in the next 24hrs.

1200 miles hifax still good to go another year...and we HAUL THE MAIL getting to the good stuff! The secret to long wear life is first in tempar prepping them. Before you even go ride it...jack up your sled and run a hose on the hifax while you heat them up running your sled. Next don't ever even ride it out of the trailer, across the parking lot, or garage without wetting your track clips. We use cheap $3 spray on auto wax prior to ever moving the sleds. A couple of squirts and good to go. Then finally prior to ever hauling off down the trail pack your suspension with snow...simply running scratchers doesn't do it. This is always on proper track tension as well. A little extra attention will equal much longer wear life.

i think you need some red better boards on that sled in your signature

If you need a wheel kit, I have a set from my 09 800 I will sell for $80 delivered. If interested PM me. Good luck

Thanks,
I will check track tension but I think its OK. But sense I have more wear in the middle maybe it is a little tight.
I will heat up than cool next set.
By the way I hate trails!!!!

Jeff95, just wanted to rub it in we went up friday, snow was deep. broke off my stearing stem just above were it clamps, was a biach to ride it out. Had Mott weld it friday night and we went out sat. and tore it up. Big D and I were out for 7 hrs. went thru a tank of fuel. we hooked up with Mott and little Aldredge. Had a good time. See ya when you get home. By the way its snowing right now.

hyfax

Just add the wheel kit and you will be fine. Mine were gone in 150 miles with scratchers deployed. I put on the wheel kit and have had no issues since.
