09 D8 w/ jaws can

I have an 09 d8 with the pcv w/ 200mi on 2010 update and 850mi on the sled, I was thinking about putting a Jaws exhaust can on and i was wondering if I need to have a different fuel map after installing it or not.

knrmk, Yeah there are some maps for some aftermarket cans from Jim at Dynotech but I am sure if it is for the jaws can? Have you seen any dyno results for the jaws can? It seems that most of the aftermarket cans save weight, sound better, but lose some power power since they are too loose or too free flowing.

I dynoed a MBRP about 2-3 weeks ago and it lost power compared to the stock polaris can/silincer. If you look at mbrp's website they say the pipe makes 2 more hp and it really loses 3 hp over the stock unit. I also dynoed the BMP pipe which was better but still lost some power just not as much. Feel free to see my dyno reults at the sw link below. The only real tests are on the snow with another sled for comparisons or on the dyno. You do not have to change the map to try a pipe but the seat of pants feel is worthless since the noise improvements all ways make you think the engine is making more power since it sounds better/louder/cooler. I would like to know more about the jaws if it does add power.

Remember slp makes the stock polaris can/silincer so it is pretty good but heavier then the aftermarket. Some pounds are 5-10 pounds lighter but some melt your belly pan besides. Good luck.
