09 D8 almost dies after WOT

Rode it yesterday and it did this on two separate occasions. After a session of wide open throttle it would sputter, the display would blink on and off and it would almost die. I would have to feather the throttle and it would come to life afterwards. Anyone else had this happen? Wondering if it is the voltage regulator or the TPS?

i got the same problem on my D8 on nearly every ride.

i changed from europen 95 octane fuel to 102 and never got that problem again. i also clean the spark plugs often.
