Did a search and not much info on here, so thought I would put this out and see what you peeps opinion is on this....

My D8--163" with the stock walkers... wanted to unhook the factory sway bar and try it... I'm a light guy and even though it is easy for some of you to sidehill with them in,, would like to know if some have removed and felt any difference and the pros/cons about it... also did you keep the stock walkers(will they hold up?) on or put on the fox floats?? On my 07 i did this and ran fox floats and was amazed but just wanted to check about the 09's with the new sway bar....

Thanks for any input...

I am wondering the pros/cons of removing the sway bar also but have yet been able to find anything on it. Guess I will take it off and see if i like it or not.

You should be able to just dissconnect one side of the swaybar from the little dogbone piece, tape the parts out of the way and try it. I remove sway bar from all mtn. sleds but it is personel preference. Alot of guys ride with them in and have no problems I like a wider front end with no sway bar myself.

Im a newbie when it comes to moding a sled. I have always just on and rode like hell. I guess the biggest question is does it make carving easier and make the sled ride smoother when on the trails to the boondocking location of choice.

I have never ran a swayar til I got my 09 dragon, I felt my was way to tipsy and put different shocks on it and it is way better now. it is so easy to disconnct the swaybar on the 09 dragon that who needs opinions when you can use your own

I'm running no sway bars, only cuz my Plastic tabs both broke.

It makes it hard to ride on packed trails but unbelievably better in the pow, especially when climbing up through trees.

My 09 is the first sled I have ever run a sway bar in. I actually like mine in on this sled (153".) A sway bar adds approximately 40-50 lbs. of spring pressure to each shock so by removing the sway bar, you "should" do something with the front shocks...spring pressure/valving/different shocks, etc.
