hey there snowest guys/gals;

was out for a rip today and noticed a substantial hesitation @ 7000 rpm. when the throttle is backed off, the sled bucks a bit, catches, then i can go WOT and hits 8300 no probs.

just came back from Valemount, and she ran great gobblins all over the place with no weak spots throughout the RPM range; so i'm firmly convinced that the updates work for me.

today has me spooked to go back to the mountains on a half baked machine.

any ideas anyone.

you will probaly find it runs fine at elevation, but lower elevations you will have the bog. I can not get mine thru 7000. Seems the answer is a PCV.

What elevation where you riding today?

I wouldnt worry about it too much storm. Dave is right, my d8 acts the same when i ride it back home at 1000' compared to riding at elevation in bc. However, it will most likely always have that hesitation at 7000 rpm til u pick up a pc3 or pc5. It sucks that you have to do that but atleast you will pick up 10-12 horsepower while your at it

hmmm.... crappy. there didn't seem to be any hesitation before the mountains though; at least not one that really stood out.
the hesitation is sometimes so bad, that running 7K RPM, then smashing the throttle open will produce no extra revs.

oh well; if it's a PCV, then maybe time to throw on a can and some other stuff.

thanks.

Hey Storm, try disconecting the kill switch wiring, I had a similar problem and found it to be something to do with the new mapping in the safety throttle override, perhaps its been set a little more sensitive for safety.

ya same here its a lean spot in the map. still needs work cooked mine again with 169 miles on the motor. if u let out of the gas to you will here the motor studder. try not to stay in that range and it runs good. but it still isnt fixed yet........
