09 800X coolant leaking!!!

well just seing if any one's had any coolant problems with there 09 yet? i unload the sled off the sled deck tonight and there was green in the snow!, tore apart the sled and i think is coming from the 1 1/2 hose from the water pump, right where it goes into the heatexchanger/tunnel, under the motor by the recoil. i think this is one for my dealer to look at, not to sure if thats where it is coming from or not, but they may have to pull the motor to repair, pretty much sucks!!

Sorry to here. the old sled went down last week to. blown top end. I hope your dealer can find the problem! I've heard quite a few of those xp's are spitting coolant everywhere...

I don't think mine is .......yet, The dealer stated he did plug a few leaks on a couple, he didn't say where the leaks were though.

Friend had this happen to his new'09 after first 30mi ride @ home. Replaced a poorly crimped clamp with reg hose clamp & the others that were hard to get at or looked questionable.

I went to start my sled to take it off the deck and found the same thing...green everywhere. I have on a carbon fibre skid plate, and it was leaking out the sides of it.....i was so pissed. So, at 145km on it, back it went to the shop. They looked at it and fixed it. At first, they tried to bu****** me and told me they sometimes leak when its cold....

The hose clamps they used are junk, I had to put a gear clamp on the lower expansion tank hose that was a bad leaker, and I noticed the ones by the gas tank are weaping, If it's super cold it is when they will leak once the engine warms up it's fine.

leak

my buddy had one of his clamps leak, dealer fixed it not sure where at..my 09 blew a base gasket, talk about a LEAK,had to be towed out,28 miles on sled..still waiting for parts:mad::mad:..crimp style clamps seem a LITTLE weak..must be trying to save .00000010 of a pound compared to the old style clamps..instead of a 10 hr. inspection ski doo should go with a 10 mile one:eek:..
