09 700 weird problem

Initially i was thinking v. REg. swapped that out with no luck. The problem is the sled wont idle. runs awesome wide open and going fast down the trail...only hickups between 5-6k rpm when you hold the throttle constant. Sled wont idle so staring it is a pain!...5-6 pulls to ge tit going then you have to be ready to run fast ot else it dies.


Any ideas? TPS, stator, intake boots?? I have no idea where to start. Machine has 1100 miles on it

Any slack in the throttle cable? Throttle safety switch could be trying to kill the motor. Try to adjust the idle with the adjuster by the handlebars.

Mine did the same thing before it blew up

mine did that when i had the cable adjusted too tight. figured it out when i would slightly hold the throttle open and it would run fine because the safety switch wanted to kill it
