i am looking for some input on setting up my sled that should show up this week.
its an 09 m8 sp 153
for the front, i am thinking to have the floats re valved by????
maybe to just add the extra canisters to them, or possibly all the above.
any thoughts on this would be appreciated, especially if you have some time on a specific set up.

as for the rear, kind of the same story....re valve? stacked spring, geo mod, or some combination of all?????again any input appreciated but really for for someone w/ some seat time on theirs.

i realize i should just try the stock set up, but from what i have read on here, it seems to need some work, and i would rather have things set before the snow flies, no lost ridding time waiting for parts....thanks guys mm

p/s i should add that i dont want to spend the $ putting on z broz or similar.

Other than the front skid spring being totally wuss, I like mine very much overall.
I'm still thinking of trying the Fett Bro's canisters to soften the initial travel a bit, but it really works pretty well on it's own with the right air pressures.

Mind you though, this is not a "trail" suspension. It's for taking big hits, and back country/mountain riding.
If you are going to trail ride it then you will need changes.

I'm told that the Float-2 conversion can be had for around $350 in the states, but it's 450 from the guy up here that can install it. Even he said it probably wasn't worth it.

I'm at 90-92 PSI in the front, and 125-130 rear with the limiters all the way out.
There is a 170 lb spring for the front skid shock from Cat to replace the 100 lb wuss spring in there that I'm going to try.

PN# 704-936 if you are interested.

I would focus on the rear suspension based on my experience after one season on my 2009 M8. I have the same assessment as Rip- on the front spring. I have gone the Holz route after studying the options available. If $ were not part of the equation, I would go to a coil over in the rear. PM me in January and I'll have a report. Good Sleddin!
