08 XP setup from the dealer? elevation setting

I am wondering if the dealer sets up each sled for the elevation the rider is going.

I think that riding here in central Washington (Snoqualmie Pass, Stampede, Blewitt) most snoparks are at least 2400 feet. Most riding areas are probably 3600 feet to about 5200.

I know that the DPEM is supposed to regulate / optimize the fuel, oil, etc.

Since the DPEM can't modify the jets, does the dealer setup usually take that into consideration?

Would it really make a difference to change the jet to the 4000ft nozzle?

Is all of this explained in the XP service manual?

Or, if it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT. Right?

flow

dpm cant change jets but it can change flow rate with the fuel pump i imagine being i dont have to change jets from 0 ft elevation to 10000 ft i rode in mn with a clutch kit could stand wheelies, went with the stock setup for 8000+ and could still stand wheelies. the clutch if i remember is set for 3 to 8000 from the factory becaus most of their sales are in mid mountains roughly that elevation

There is an elevation chart for all ski-doo's. The summits with dpm require pin weight and spring and some times ramp changes for elevation. The summits come from the factory set up for 2000 ft. no jetting change unless temp drops below -20 degrees f. Any body know how to cut one page from a pdf file. If I could do that I could post the 09 specs. The pdf I have covers all model's

I read the ski doo setup chart. 480 main jet from sea level to 10, 000 ft. Same main jet across the board. Obviously this is not the ideal fuel to air ratio for my summit(utah 6-10). Guess I need to look at my plugs more. I love running a little rich, but I can't believe we can run the same jetting for such different elevations. On my YZ250 I run a main jet 3-5 sizes smaller for elevation adjustments. At the same time...my xp never misses a beat--except when the rpm falls off due to clutching issues. I will drop a size to start then go from there. I have'nt even looked at my plugs---no need last season. We all want more performance though...time to dial it in. I hate these posts where someone says what they're going to do to there sled but hasn't done it yet...sorry. If someone can chime in on this that would be awesome.
