That's what I was thinking as I read this whole post. It's 2008. How can it be the best mountain sled ever????? I think this thread should have been titled "08 XP 163...best stock mountain sled ever". It still would not be accurate IMO, but at least you may be on the radar somewhere. I'm pretty sure the best mountain sled ever is at the very least making 250 HP. Probably 350 HP. I assume by definition a mountain sled is a sled that can climb mountains and manuver around in them. I won't say what sled I think does hold this title, but at the very least you have to admit it's a boosted sled.

I know these new xps are not one I want in the back country. I dont ride ski doo, but do ride with the ski doo dealer from my home town in north west MT, they had a problem with breaking drive shafts and last weekend the dealers son snaped his, maybe to much power not enough lbs, dont know. But when they get them figured out watch out...

Funny thing about the DOO is almost everyone that rides them swear up and down they are the greatest thing since sliced bread!!!!!! yet my 08' 700 dragon seems to have no problems running with or ahead of these sleds?????

With you on that , I have both 07 700 dragon and a 08 800 D .
Ride with xp's all the time , same high expectation from the xp but never seen one ever so far this year do any better than my 700.
Lets not even mention my 800, makes every xp look very bad.
Sick of going over and over the same thing...Where do these great xp's ride?

now that's just plain old funny. who are the guys riding the xp's, your grandparents? i ride with 800 dragons', 700 dragon's, rev's and some xp's. the 800 dragon's and the xp's go about the same, depending on exactly which rider is hitting what, but basically the same. my 05 rev 159 is there, but can't touch those 2. and the 700's get everywhere, kinda, just have to take the easier routes. now for 700's, they are impressive, but yet to see a 7 beat an 8, of any kind. unless that 7 is modded to the nuts!
