08 Skidoo Summit Rev XP Tunnel Rack

This is a new rack for the back of your tunnel. It comes with five cross bars that can be placed in different places depending on bag or gas can size. Three of the cross bars are mounted on the top set of holes, the other two can be mounted on the lower set of holes. A gas can or bag can be supported by the two lower cross bars without touching the heat exchanger. Extra cross bars can be purchased at $5 each. These racks will strengthen the back of your sled. The racks come with all Stainless hardware needed to mount it to your sled. The racks are designed to fit a Skidoo Summit Rev-XP sled with a 146, 154, or 163 long track. The items that you place on the rack that are not placed on the cross bars, will sit on your heat exchanger. Six 1/4 hole must be drilled through the tunnel to mount the rack. The rack is 16 1/2 wide by 3 inches tall. I don't take credit cards, but I have a PayPal account set up.
You can call me at 406-257-7828 or e-mail me at vmi@centurytel.net

146 racks are 20 inches long and have 5 crossbars $130
154 racks are 24 inches long and have 5 crossbars $130
163 racks are 29 1/2 inches long and have 6 crossbars $140
Extra crossbars $5

Thanks

Anyone use this rack last year? How did it hold up? I've come to the conclusion that to get the bag I want and mount it I will need a rack. I like the way that this one covers the whole tunnel.

My rack is one of his first ones w/o the bars on the bottom. I used the rack all
last year w/o any problems what ever. I mount my Ski Doo can and my Snobunje bag on it, works great and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

That may be the exact thing I will use it for. It looks like I can use my old Rev jerry can and I'm deciding between the Snowbunje bag or the Skinz universal tunnel bag. I want something with room for spare gloves & goggles, wipe rag, flashlight, snacks and food for my HotPot. I need a decent size bag with good zippers and strapping system. It would be nice to fit in my shovel and Snobunje also. This rack looks good because it makes the whole tunnel useable as compared to the Holz which is just for the Jerry can.

i don't see how those bottom cross bars won't bend all to ****.

Tension vs flexsion. Where are they going to go. They are 1/4" above the heat exchanger and only about 1" below the upper crossbar. The side rails are bolted firmly to the tunnel. You have opposing forces everywhere. I would think they would flex but need a sudden impact to bend them.

this is the best rack on the planet. it strengthens the tunnel as well. you can put many different combos of bags and gas cans. i am getting another one for my 09.

Are the crossbars solid or hollow? Is the rack attached via rivets or nuts and bolts? Do you do powder coating? My new sled will have a black powder coated tunnel.
