08 rmk dragon ??

My cousin is looking at buying an 08 rmk dragon 800, the engine has fix it kit or durability kit from mtntk performance. Has anybody had any experiance with these upgrade kits, are the motors bulletproof then i know that is the downfall of the 800. any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I put one in last year with an original head, sled runs smooth and strong, but I only have 400 miles on the kit.

have you owned an Polaris 800 or higher cc before?

Search is your friend... LOTS of info on MTNTEK fix kit, as well as some other ones. I think it addresses the issues in general. No engine is going to be perfect but this type of kit helps a lot. And add a PCV controller to richen up the midrange and you are good to go IMHO.

My 08 D800 was flawless while I owned it without fix kit but if I had kept it I would have put one in. Went Carls 860 instead. A deal I couldn't pass up last spring. Torque monster. Now I don't know if I could ever go back to stock... *L*
