08 Nytro MTX brake issues

Ok guys any suggestions to my problem with my brakes on my 08 Nytro MTX with Impulse Turbo? My dealer, my friend (very knowledgeable sled guy) and myself (twice) have bleed the brakes, looked at the diaphragm, calipers and checked the disc for warping and everything looks fine. I still have to pump the brake lever twice to get the brakes to work properly. Help!! I attached the Yamaha manual diagram to help make things easier. Thanks

Have the same problem with mine, but I run MCX stage 2. Don't know what to do.. Have you find out what was wrong?

Does your brake line run near the extra oil tank on this kit. I was looking at mine tonight and noticed that the brake line was touching this tank.

No I haven't find the problem yet, I'm looking at the pistons set up in the calipers, looks like one side of my pads is half the thickness of the other.....???

If your pad is worn more on one side more than likely it is sticking.

Take a look at where the rotor spins inside the caliper and see if it is centered in the opeining (there is a line where the 2 halves of the caliper mate together...the rotor should line up).

My rotor warped and was "bowl" shaped and was off center, so one side was wearing more than the other, and I had the same "2 pump" symptom.

that is normal wear on these...I would check if your getting heat on the lines somewhere...

My issue turned out to be something with the jackshaft/jackshaft bearings, so hyflyr fixed it all up and she back on the snow running great. There is still some mystery to the exact problem, but I'm grinning again. :peace::bounce:

Yup, my nytro does this too.....brake fades when riding sled wide open in powder....then you go to grab the brake and lever is very soft. But to clarify....its not created from actually applying the brake....its after powder bashing wide open throttle then you grab the brake and its very soft. flushed fluid with fresh dot 4 and still fades didnt fix problem. this is stock nytro not turbo.

yeah it sounds like a master cylinder problem, I am not sure if these ones are rebuildable. It shoulds like the valve that holds some residual pressure in the lines is stuck open. Which would require a pump to restore this pressure before the brakes would apply. The fading part can be because they are getting wet from powder riding!

Just a thought
