08 Ford SD Diesel

I have an 08 F350SD, I had the check air filter warning light come on and crummy mileage like 5 mpg. When I checked the air filter it was a block of ice covered with snow. I ended up replacing the filter, Ford would not warentee the filter at 10000 km, its good to 30000 miles. Now they say they will have a winter front out to me by the end of January as there on Backorder right now. Hmm I guess I have to buy a few more air filters. Now I am waiting for Ford to reimburse me on my air filters I bought. Once they get wet there toast.

Got a picture of the air intake under the hood? Looks like it comes with the AIS from the factory.

FORD shoulda had the winter fronts with the truck before you bought it.....especially if they knew they needed it. WTF

Have you checked with Lund for a winter front? I use their plastic winter inserts on my 02 PSD and it works great.

the 99's had the same problem. Do they forget about snow when they design the intakes?
