08 Dragon, anyone running a different track?

I have 2 Dragon 8's with a 155 and was wondering if anyone is running anything other than the stock track. If so how does it perform compared to others. Does anyone make a comparable track to the new cat track? I understand this track rocks.

i orderd the hard compound powerclaw on thursday. everyone i have to talked to including jack struthers has said the track flat out works, helps w/ poo's trenching issue and is 5mph faster trackspeed.

I am running the camoplast extreme and it is awesome. Night and day different from the stock track.

My buddy just put a 2.5" camo extreme under his d7 last night. What a difference. He was outclimbing 08 d8's and m7 162's today. Spanked my escape with my stock 2" 159. We were close before with the 155 stocker under it.

How do these other tracks as mentioned perform in the powder? I want a good all around track, but lean toward the powder side. I noticed that the stock track spins a bunch in spring snow but still performs.

Put the 2.5 camo extreme on my 08 D8 a month and a half ago and have found it to work better in all the conditions I have been in so far. I am very happy with the track. Out of all the changes I have made it has probably been one of the largest noticable differences next to the clutch weights...

It was super dry light fluffy pow that we were in on Sat when doug had the new 2.5 camo extreme on his d7. Like I said, he walked all over a stock (well clutched) d8. He beat my mod 800 escape so bad that I shut mine off. My 159 2'' was like all the paddles were missing or something. I need a new track after last weekend. The d8 is shopping for one right now as well. I have not seen them run in firmer snow, but have heard that they perform very well in sluchy spring snow or set up snow since the paddles are very firm. I was shocked how well it performed in the pow since the paddles are as stiff as they are.

is the track ported in the center, or do you have to modify the drivers on your driveshaft, and are you planning on running it all season in all snow conditions?

The camo extremes are ported for the center driver and have the 2.86 pitch. No need to change drivers with these tracks. Tracks USA PN for 155"" is 9104, 163" is 9105. A friend is installing the 155 on his 08 D8 this week. Will let all know the results. I have been checking into this for a week or so and will probably upgrade as well.

Thanks for all the info. guys. Looks like I too will be looking to upgrade to a Challenger Extreme this summer.

I am running the Camo Extreme and trimmed off about 1/8-1/4" on the lugs. It is awesome!!! Works great in all conditions, just blows me away what the thing can do.

Good to know, my Camo Extreme is on the way tomorrow! Should be running it next week.;)

rode with a 09 800 dragon with a 163 camo ex. hads down best climbing dragon i've seen thats the first thing i'd chang

I have a modded D8 with a 163" Camoplast Challenger Extreme. I went to that track because the stock track is scary on spring snow. The Camoplast is a much better track for all conditions. I saw a Turbo Polaris today that has a Powerclaw track on it. I heard that it works very well. It will require a driver change to run it though.

how do these tracks come off the hill compared to the stock track, I havent been dissapointed with the stocker but it does scare the hell out me comin off the hill:beer;

Just curious, how much track speed are you loosing with your Camy 2.5. It seems like it pulls down my poo800 pretty good. I was always smelling hot belt even with side vents and proper deflection. I ended up gearing down and re-clutching
