08 D7 service eng light

My 08 D7 with just under a 1000 miles had an electrical melt down. Had a new voltage reg, ecu, and capacitor put on. It runs great but I had it out for the second time since the fix and when ever I start it the service eng light comes on for a little while. Is this something I should be worried about because I want to go ride tomarrow. Any input PLZ.

hey jde i have the same sled but i have over 2000 miles on it and on the 12th i had an electrial melt down too. I was just curious did you burn up your ecu? I figured i would need to replace all the same parts you did but was curious if we had the same thing happen. I assume the regulator went and that ruined the capacitor and ecu. Just curious
