I went up to Dutchman yesterday and put about 40 miles on the new update. 16" of untracked pow by todd lake on cascade lakes highway. When we were done the snow was dead. Sled runs pretty good considering the fuel has break in oil that the shop put in the tank. Was able to pull 8000 rpms with the ethenol wires unplugged. Of course that was on the flat no climbs.Last year I had the 09 update done when my motor smoked and couldnt even pull 8000 rpms anywhere. So things are looking up. Let it snow.

Sounds like positive news on the new update. I'm just jealous you can ride already. I just rode the super moto to work today. :( :D

Ya its been snowing for the past few days in the cascades. were going up friday and saturday. Hopfully by thanksgiving we will be able to go off trail and really ride.Love the steep and deep.

Thats good news guys glad your able to get out, The blues have squat, the best ive found is 5" don't be snow hogggggs send some our way!!!

I've been waiting for someone to post how their updates were working.. thank you for the post! I travel back and forth between Medford and Bend every other week. I was there on Monday, Tuesday and Diamond Lake is starting to get a base, but not enough yet for my comfort level. Im anxious to get my '08 out and break it in. Perhaps we will get enough base over the next two week so that Im not out "rock bashing".

Hey t stone - glad your sled worked out well. I talked to you yesterday for a while up by moon. I was riding the D7. Great snow.

First Ride

Put 35 miles on my new 09 163 with the update yesterday. Ran the road for a bit and then up the mountain. We ran at 3000-4800 feet. Machine ran assume. Clean, crisp, even with the extra oil in the tank. It does seem to have more jam than my 08 Dragon. Floats up front and Exits in the skid felt very nice. Clutches were a little warm however, have not changed the stock helix to my 62/42 or put in Ron's weights. I may do the helix for this Saturday but I will wait on the weights until I have a few more miles on the motor. 10/66's in it now. A couple of short blasts late in the day yesterday produced 8200-8250. My target of 8300 is right there. New snow is in the forecast over the next few days, hopefully on Saturday. Just need more miles and I am sure it will get even better.

I have a 09 D8 155 and went with T Stone last week. Sled ran good and ready to put some miles on it this week-end.
PS T Stone you ride your sled like a little girl!!!!!:D:eek::present:
