A good friend of mine picked up a used 08, 800 dragon.
First ride out both sides burnt down after 5 miles.
Long story short. He had polaris look into sleds history. He found out this would be the 3rd rebuild with the sled only having 1500 miles on it.
Currently he is trying to workout issues with warrenty tranfer etc., may have to pay out of pocket for a new topend.
So my questions are.
Does polaris have a fix for these sleds?
If so does it work?
or would he be money ahead in going with a big bore (Carls Cycle) where he would get new pistons, cylinders and ECU programing? Would a big bore upgrade give him a more dependable and reliable sled in the long run?
Thanks for any insight on this...
