08 800 dragon check engine light flashing

just wondering if someone can tell me why my light is flashing 7 times but it seems to run great starts first pull and goes right in reverse .i did notice scarring on the piston so im going to fix it again .just wondered if it was going to blow up again and loose power is why the light is flashing .do i get the check engine light off before i tear it down or fix the flashing check engine light first or will rebuiling it fix that??? i know what the codes are just not sure what to do !!! just had it fixed at dealer so it only has 300 miles on it and scarred up piston already with check engine light on !!!

7 flashes is one of your injector voltages to high/low or an open circuit. If it runs, it's probably a high or low voltage. An open circuit would either prevent starting or 1 cylinder not running at throttle.

Since your sled runs, I would say one of your upper injectors has a bad wire or is bad. Repair the injectors before you rebuild.
