08 700 155 rmk setup?

Anyone out there running the 700's? or does no one bother with the 700's anymore?:(
Been trying to get my 700 running its best, but still would like some advice.
Right now Im running 10-60 weights with a blue yellow primary, secondary is stock, and i re geared to 19-42. Seems to be pullin high rpm's topin out at the 8550 mark! m usually running at around the 6-8000 mark. Thikin about trying the heal klickers, heard some guys puttin in VF Reeds onthe 800"s but havent heard too much feedback on them with the 700. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would try running heavier weights in your sled, I peak at about 8250 with 10-64's at 2-4000feet. As far as what I have read that is about the correct peak RPM for the 700. I have the same gearing as you and I like it.

Shock Preload Question Edge

My edge is bottoming out on some large bumps(feel it in my feet). I have an adjustable preload front skid shock. If I increase the preload how does this effect in deep snow? also can you adjust your suspension so you trench less in deep snow and not bottom out on hits?

yah i was runnin 62s and i was max 8400rmp at 86mph. Now i have 64s and i max as 8200 and 89 mph and it has way better overall performance. A friend has 66s at his shop and he thinks they will be the ticket so im going to try them out. He was saying should peak at 8000rpm and he is a polaris guru. Im runnin in sask so thats like sea level?

Hey no one buying 700s? I dont see any topics about 08/09 700s blowing..........might not have the power of the 800 but its a little more perfected than the 800 is yet.

Ive been thinking about buying a new 700 myself and would be nice to know the proper setups people are running. Im Sure SLP single and and other things would be installed right away. Not sure if ill buy this year or next. Our snow condition suck this year

700

Personnely i like the 700, they just flat work, no bs. I wish 09 still had the dragon with the 155,163 options. I have a stock 08 800 and a friend has an 08 700 155. We put a slp exhaust, 62g weights, 19t top gear, 09 front end and that machine is killer. My stock 800 will not stick with it off the line.
My wife's is going to get the duplicate treatment. The 800 is going to get a few goodies as well. Can't go wrong with the 700 imo.

Just like sledneck said they should run around 8000 to 8100 rpm. If you're going to try to get it dialed in, a set of adjustable weights would be a great starting point. SLP makes the MTX, Bikeman has the supertips, and Dalton makes some adjustables as well. These are just a few. By getting a set of these you won't have to be buying a different set of weights if you need to change your rpm. You can just add or subtract weight to get it where you want it. Next, make sure your clutches are cool and run it up a small hill 2 times(once on a long pull) then stop and feel your clutches. If you have a digital temp gauge that would work even better. Which ever one is hotter is the one that is slipping the most, less effective. If it is the primary, more weight, the secondary, more spring. You don't want your clutches to slip, power not getting to the snow. This is just a quick run down, but I hope that helps you. Don't waste your cash on the reeds, not worth the money. Stock reeds are just fine and more reliable as well. The zero pros are Fox shocks that work well with Carl's Cycle tuning.

Gearing: 19/42
Primary: MTX 65 with 3 gram rivets at tip
TEAM bright green spring 150-340lb rating is 145 per TEAM.
Secondary: Carl's 64-40.46 helix
TEAM red/black 140-240lb spring.
Basically a setup advised to me by ericbigbore regarding the TEAM bright green and helix with my choice of weights and secondary spring as recommended by Fastrax. All I can say is it flat works. Excellent launch, pulls hard right till the top and has great backshift

Not as much power?
