what are people running for set up in the deep stuff?

Just the way it came '09 Sno-pro

I have built a few mod. sleds and still have a mod. 1000 King Cat.
The M8 works spot on with the setup it came with. I ran with 18 buddies at IP in Jan and it reigned supreme over all the stock 800's mostly Doos , but I ran a Dragon too and I climbed higer and faster in unbroken tracks. The sled rocked as is with only 50 miles on it.

how bout the 08's my 08 sucks in the deep stuff and sucks climbing. i would long track it but i hit ramps with the sled also...

I hate those newer arctic cat sleds other than the m series, to me they just look really bad

Not sure, but I think he is asking about the short track Race sled (Sno Pro model ) not the M8 SP

You can run a 141 powerclaw on one of them & you'll be happy with deep snow performance, an easy rail mod but I'm not sure if the snopro is running a 2.52 or 3 pitch driver stock.

A bit of transfer in the skid, lighten the front shocks & it'll rip.

i have 2.52 on there now, they do have 3.0 drivers yu can get for them also.


and yea i am talking about the races sleds. not the consumer sleds.

simple... if you want a short track sled to perform like a mountain sled, you need to add on mountain sled parts to it. longer track, gear it down, better intake system and change up the suspension settings.

iceage has rails for the new sno pros and they are also coming out with tunnel extensions. i plan on doing a long track but just trying to decided on the setback for the skid so it doesnt trench to bad.

the sled is geared down plenty, if i wanted a long track then i would buy one, i hit ramps all summer and winter so i dont thing a long track would work very well.

mines dropped and rolled 151 challanger extreme, cutom skid, m-series a arms, ve tunnel. now im just going to go buy a mountain sled. this was on a 05 sx800

check out fabcrafts site they did a 08 up nice
