your "INSTALLED NEW "WAHL" 2.86 PITCH 8 TOOTH DRIVERS" just might need time to were in ...

I have put 75 miles of hard riding on and still on difference. Tore sled apart and put back together and can find nothing wrong other than track won't turn smoothly- external drive lug is catching and lifting track-like the window is to small.i rechecked drivers but they say 2.86pitch on them-measuredtrack drive area and it was 2 7/8" spacing.

You need to pick up sled from back. have a helper rotate the track. look up at the track at the bottom of the driver . what your looking at is the teeth on driver. When they are binding the teeth will try to jump the track . I have been thru this and to fix I changed to avids drivers ( they are half inch smaller . The wahl drivers did not wear in after 500 miles and where all chewed up from trying to jump the track . I have had problems go to avid and read the tech tips Good info on track driver install
and i dont buy the wear in after 500 miles it still bining .

wahl drivers

wahl drivers are notorious for not quite fitting right. Avids do work better or you can rasp off both sides of the tooth on the wahls. About an eight inch off the tip.

Yep. The Wahl drivers suck. You have to taper them off about 1/8" off the tip to the center of the tooth. They will still not work 100% proper but you can get away with them. They will eventually wear out faster than they should. Switched mine to Avid drivers and it rolls way better with no binding.

called WAHL-got the run around-was told powder max track had smaller drive windows and sprockets would wear in! SHOULD'NT NEW PARTS FIT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME-WON'T BE BUYING ANYTHING WITH WAHLS NAME ON IT EVER AGAIN!

I have had the same problem on my 3.0 camo extreme ? So it the track ??
I installed the Avids and the problem is gone . I hear you Erickson 4 I wont spend any money with them . You would think they would fix the problem ? Its hard to do MAKE THEM SMALLER so the dont need to wear in ( wear out) to fit ? The ones I have were way to chewed to leave on my sled. I thought they would fit new .By the way Wahl , are you going to give refunds to all of us with your chewed up drivers?

Funny how both of mine are camo extreme tracks and the wahl drivers did not work right on either of them. Sounds to me like they just don't care.:face-icon-small-fro
