2007 summit 600 sdi is getting too much oil, building up and fouling plugs. Only happens when you go a long time without giving it a lot of throttle. How do you turn down the amount of oil that is getting consumed?

Proper adjustment for a 600 SDI is 20mm. I use this to make adjustments. Lengthening the cable (turning the treads in on the adjuster) will lower use and shortening it will increase it. Chances are pretty good that either the cable is frayed where it comes out at the sheath near the pump, or the pump arm is sticking allowing the pump to over oil. Both are known problem areas to look into before changing the adjustment
