07 rev fan electrical issues

Here is the scoop, My kids 550 fan is acting strange, headlights and tailights were burnt out, and about 2 minutes after it is started the gauges start going crazy, the tach and speedo do not work and the LCD display blinks 10-9 and the high engine temp and low oil indicator comes on. I replaced the voltage regulator and it is doing the same thing. I ran it for about 30 miles yesterday and it runs fine. I do not see any problems with wiring (rubbing and shorting out). It does not have the normal MPEM it seems to have a smaller CDI unit. Anybody have any ideas.

Any answers? My wifes 07 summit 550 fan is doing the exact same thing. It's in the shop right now. If they find out what's going on I'll let you know.
