07 Rev 800R 1600 ml. Clutching Adjustments?

I have had two 05's and this 07 motor is new to me. The sled is in very good shape and want to do any preventative maintenance necessary. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. The VIN # doesn't have any open factory recall requests on it.

Go through both clutches....I can almost guarantee the bushings are shot in both and at least rollers, buttons and o-rings in the primary....possibly more. Definatly check it out, it only gets more expensive the longer it's avoided.

You can find out great information for your 2007 summit contributed at my website.

rookie move...

pulled the my primary off with all intentions of marking a line across the clutch so i when I pulled it apart i could realign it the in the same sequence as it was. long story short i forgot to make the mark. Clutch is in 3 pieces now. Any suggestions on how to realign it in the right way? Bonner move on my part.

on my '07 ,

on the governor cup there is an arrow, so much for the easy part.

on the movable half , look for a small punch ( about 1/8") mark on edge ( about 1 1/2") from arrow point.

on the fixed half, look for a punch mark (about 1/8" also) near the edge, but on back, between ring gear and shive

Hope this helps, sounds like something I do regulary, never learn

The fixed sheave should have a machined "V" on the backside for alignment. There is also sometimes a punch mark/drillstart, but that is not used for alignment. As said, the 3 main pieces, plus the spring cap all have alignement marks....no need to mark anything before taking it apart.
