'07 mtn Apex-Handwarmer issue & ???'s

I just picked up a 2007 apex mtn. the left handwarmer does not work. The right handwarmer gets really freakin hot. I'm guessing one of the elements broke. Is this a common problem? I looked up a new handwarmer price from Yamaha and it's over $100. I can get aftermarkets for cheaper tha that. Could I just get Hotgrips aftermarket warmers or RSI warmers and wire them straight up or what can I do?

Make sure all your connections are plugged in correctly. We just went through this with our '06. One of the plugs was not all the way in and didn't work. The stealer charged us $170 to plug it in. They work now.LOL

Matt, you can get the ones from RSI and tap into the wire above the plug. I think they had a lot of problems with the warmers on those. They worked about the same as Cats did!
