trying to convert an 07' M8 153 to a 162. Got the 09' 162 rails + sliders and the 162 PC. First thing is the hole pattern in the new rails for the float skid doesn't match with my 07' rear skid. All the bolts are a larger diameter than the holes in the new rails also. Not crazy about it, but i think there is room to drill out new holes in the rails for my old rear skid but i think there is a cutout where i need to mount the lower spring mount/block so not sold on this. And then assuming i get the rails sorted out, what will i need to do to the rear end? The bumper looks like it should extend back as far as the longer track so not to worried about being able to lift up on it. Main concern is it seems that the longer track will hit the cooler as mine is curved down. Really can't afford float skid or bumper upgrade right now just looking for cheapest way to get the new track spinning!

ok so i read most of the threads on the bumper upgrades from the sandman method to VE tunnels bending and still have a few questions.

How long is an 09+ 162 tunnel compared to the 07' 153? It seems that the newer tunnels are a little shorter so wondering if i can get away without extending the
tunnel.

If i just get the bdx bumper kit for a 162, flatten my cooler, and fab up an end cap to support cooler and provide lateral support for tunnel would this work?

Or maybe i should just sell the 162 PC and the rails and get a 153 PC and do the holtz re-valve on my current skid i've been wanting instead.....
