07 m1k weird noise/vibration???

went for a night ride last night... and just before i pulled it on the trailer i started it up....fine at idle but when the primary enganged i heard and felt a funny.. almost grinding/knockin noise... it was cold so i didnt even bother looking at it... gonna inspect it tonight any ideas on what to look for?

dimond drive? that would be my first look.

Probably just ice build up from the melt off of the heat exchanger,leave it in a warm shop and I bet the problem goes away.

Look at the drive clutch and double check you don't have a cracked spider. The 4 weight clutches were famous for breaking (cracking) spiders.

Check the crank behind the primary. Mine broke right there only 800 miles.
