Im installing a diamond S hood and I got a used plug from a M6 and the plug fits but I think the wiring is different what Im looking for is can someone tell me which wires are for the lighting coil +- for 2 lights as im hooking up my egt as well and I already have a A/F hooked to the acc. plug by the steering post? And has anyone run without a tach hooked up ie no hood?any info would be great

Wiring

I have rode several rides without my hood and it does just fine, In 07 and later you dont need the headlight resistor that you needed in earlyer models. As far as a power wire goes, the purple one that feeds the reverse beeper by your right foot well, Is fine to provide electrical power for many options.

thanks for the info about not needing the resistor I was wondering if anyone can tell me what color wires are the positive and negitive for the for the headlight at the wire plug by the air intake thanks for the info so far.I have a service manual and on disk and I cant find a wiring diagram anywhere on the disk.I guess an easy way to figure this out is who is running a diamond s hood with a headlight and what source did you use.thanks

The plug wires are BLUE (High Beam), WHITE (Low Beam), BLACK (Ground), GREY/RED (CCU Diagnostic) and ORANGE/WHITE (Check Engine). I have a Diamond S hood on and used all except WHITE (Low Beam) wire.
