07 M1000 Stator Over Voltage

So I've done a little exploring on my 07 M1000 Stator and I am finding that everything is within specs on ohms, however the 2 charge coils are putting our 23.68V and 20.88V. I know I need to replace this stator but I'm concerned that I might have toasted my ECU. Does anyone know if the ECU will protect against that kind of overvoltage? How can I test if the ECU is still functional?

CCU?

I could be wrong on this but I think the Chassis Control Unit does that. Lots less expensive to. Ive had to replace one once and it controls the lights, reverse functions, and display also. The wires from the stator go in to it so that's where I would start. RH shock tower area.

MT Backcountry, The wiring diagram I have shows the charge coils going into the ECU but I might be interpreting that wrong. This diagram I downloaded off the interwebs isn't the easiest to read.
