I have just bought a brand new(zero miles) 07 m1000 for $7000 with original track and powerclaw. awesome deal???
I decided to buy the optional extended warranty with the sled even tho i live in remote Alaska.
I have a dealer that is about 100 miles away and i have contacted and seems like a good dealer.
My question to you all is I ride no higher then about 3000ft., and am interested in doing some simple mods to the sled for mostly weight and power.
I was looking at the bdx- front airbox kit, possible slp full y-pipe,pipe, can combo, i like the gains it advertises and weight loss. and side vents. Im into boondocking not really into hill climbing so i thought getting a turbo on my sled with out someone to work on it close was a little far fetched.
would i need a power controller box with the mods i want to add.what do you think about those mods for a recreational rider. O and would SLP skis really make alot of difference in riding or are stock ok? Aftermarket skiss seem expensive if the stock skis work fine till i tag a tree?
my dealer said if i modify the ecu at all it will void warranty. and if i have a diamond drive problem i really dont want to pay for it, thats why i payed for extra warranty.
this site is great for info thanks for everyone's help on all issues
