I have a 07 m1000 and would like to know how to check or adjust fuel pressure. i keep hearing about fuel pressures in adjusting for bd box numbers. will fuel pressure make a big difference in settings? Thanks!

Stock pressure is about 44 psi just above idle. You can make it richer or leaner by raising or lowering the fuel pressure. But if you have a power commander or boondocker fuel controller, then you shouldn't need to adjust the pressure.
IF you are on a modded m1000 then you need egts, fuel pressure should be 44-46 stock but tuning a 1000 with egts is not safe.
I usually ran my piped 1000 at 51psi and had way better performance. But that is tuned to run 1160* egt temps. and hold.
