07 m1000 dd # 2

my second dd in this sled, put the first one in at 600 miles , just exploded it , second one now at 1200 miles, it got water contamination through the track shaft seal, and messed up a bearing and its got a whole pile of metal shavings sittin at the bottem of the case. had it serviced 4 rides ago! its kinda weird how i got about 600 miles outa the second one, aswell. i know kinda a pointless thread, but i just wanted to b!tch and complain a bit, wondering if anyone els has had the same amount of issues as me.

When you installed a second DD did you have it updated with the 2008 DD? My 2007 leaked and when it was replaced under warranty they put in a 2008 version.

if you dont need reverse the 09 will go right in and save you 8lbs

they had a new one on the bench i believe it was an 07, im not to worried about im just gonna change and flush the fluid often and take care of it then sell it. i wanna buy 09 or wait for the 2010 2 come out.
