07 Hot idle issue

I have an 07 800r with an SLP kit and V-force reeds. Problem is that the sled will idle fine during warm up, but you have to watch it and blurp it every so often or it dies, but after a 100 yards or so on the throttle it idles at around 3500-4000 for a very, very long time, unless you give it some choke to calm it down. It continues to do this all throughout the day Any ideas????

TTT, Anyone??? I have checked the reed boots, no cracks, but definately seems to be leaning out

Make sure you got your gaskets between block and reeds. I had that problem.

So did u ever figure out what was causing your issue? Mine will idle like this at 3000' or 6500' does not matter but it starts first pull every time when warm.

check crank seals my o4 did the same thing. For about 2000 miles tryed everything finally it melted down $600 not cool.

With it running, spray carb cleaner around the carbs, the boots and behind the primary clutch, if the RPM's go up, you have an air leak.

OK so I feel pretty stupid rite now. Added the SLP Kit which includes air box mod, more air right..... I turned out the fuel screws on the carbs a tad and bam, back to normal. Guess I should have just done the math in the first place huh... Thanks to all for the ideas, rookie mistake I guess..

i ended up with a new top end.2 weeks before warranty was done..it's all good so far....100 miles into new top end.

I was told the rings and pistons were worn which was causing gas fluctuations........
