I am looking to put an 07 engine in an 05 sled. not really sure about doing this? what all needs to be changed? what should a guy whach out for? any help would be great

I too am curious about swapping in an R motor in a non R chassis. I'm sure you'd require all electronic items that go with the 800R. As far as bolt in, I can't see it being all that different.
You could probably use all of the 05 electronics on an 07 motor, if you already have, say a complete 05 with a blown motor. The only issue I could foresee is the stator. If an 07 stator does not plug into the 05 harness then you may have to do some research to figure out which wires do what and wire accordingly. As far as the carbs go, you would probably just need to jet accordingly. Just some thoughts! Im probably overlooking some obvious issue though!
