07 Dragon RMK hickup at 1/3 throttle

2007 Dragon RMK 700.

While acclerating all is well, when you reach approx 1/3 throttle and run at that point, when letting off abruptly you get a "dead feel" almost as if applying the brakes, or a blip in power output feel. On the way up right around this point if you go above that throttle position you get a increase in power almost as if your are hitting a powerband that makes you really notice and the sound from the pipe is rather impressive. Like a switch that has just been turned on.

This blip only happens when letting off around the 1/3 range. And only has the crazy increase around this same throttle position.

It's smooth if you slowly let off. It's less noticed if you slowly apply throttle evenly or consistently but who does that!

Accleration on the way up is smooth and consistent but like a light switch at that position.

Only when coming off the throttle it gives you this momentary feel of "stalling" but it comes right back, no back fire, no engine noise goofyness or anything that I can put a finger on.

Exhaust valve issue (slamming closed at that point or sticking closed?)
Throttle block funky?
Throttle position funky?

Hey stranger, good to see you back.

Do you think that flat spot could also be caused by the 4 fuel injectors when they switch between upper and lower? Hence the increase in power right above that point?

Just throwing an idea out there.

I check in once in a while. Job, kids, family take more time then before so it's gets few and far between for the forums.

Never thought of that but it could be somethign like that as it's very noticable on the way up when it comes "on".

I do have a SLP pipe/can but wouldn't think it would make that much of a difference where I would be able to feel it.

Still can't figure out why on the way down it's just as abrupt but doesn't backfire, or any notable engine noise, just like a stall but only for a split second and only when coming off throttle quickly.
