07/D7 Injector Removal

As the title says. Through a goof up of mine in need to replace one of the o rings on the upper pto side injector. I am having some trouble trying to get it out far enough to do the job. I went to our local dealer for some advise and they told me the engine would have come out to do it. I know there has to be an easier way. If someone could chime in with some wisdom/shortcut I would be forever in your debt!!

You're lucky, that's the easiest one to get to. Get the airbox off and out. Clip the zip ties holding any wiring to the tabs that bolt the injector to the cylinder. Unbolt the allen bolts that hold the fuel rail to the cylinders behind each upper injector. It helps to disconnect the fuel line from the filer to the fuel rail, it will make it easier to get the fuel rail off the back of the injectors. Next, pull the fuel rail back off the injectors. You should be able to get the injectors out to service the o-rings. The injectors may stay in the cylinders or in the fuel rail. Depending on what o-ring it is, I just did this on my wifes 08 700 RMK and was able to get the o-ring at NAPA auto parts. It came in a kit for fuel injector installation. It was the o-ring between the injector and the fuel rail.
Good Luck
