'07 Apex Mtn hi-low beam & kill switch problems

Just bought the Apex last year, brand spankin' new, and the kill switch fell off and a couple of months later the hi/low beam fell off from a stray branch.

Has anyone else had any problems with the 2007 Apex Mtn's?

The Yamaha dealer I bought it from has called it a "negligent" and "owner abuse" problem and that's why they fell off. They're 100.00 a piece to replace. I think he's full of buffalo chips and I say its a factory defect. I don't mistreat my sleds - especially a brand new one that I intend to use for several seasons.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions on how I can get them replaced before the season starts for me that doesn't require me to baby the sled or shell out big bucks?

replace the kill switch with a tether.Cheap and better than new!
And ive rolled my 08 ape prolly 20 or 30 times, and the only thing that broke was the light pod,and that was a good thing(Heavy p.o.s.)
i say there a TOUGH sled

I've never broke thos items but many other guys have. do some searching on here and over at totallyamaha. There are replacement parts to fix this if the dealer looks into it hard enough. You dont have to buy the complete 100 block, just the knob/switch Eric

The Hi/Low from an Kitty fits like a glove, you doesent have to change the whole block, only the button, the only problem is if any of your pal's run kitty and finds out ;-).
