07 800R Not Holding RPM!!! Sounds simple right?

I have an 07 800R summit. New motor last year with about 200 miles on it.
This year first ride out it ran great. filled it with gas and drove it home. The next time I took it out, it would not hold RPM's over about 6000. Don't think it's gas because 2 other sleds filled from the same pump with no problems. The sled runs great at low and mid, but when you go to full it just falls on it's face. Adjusting clickers make no change. Clutching or carbs? That's what I thought.
Here is a list of what I did.

-New spark plugs.
-Switched priamery clutch with another sled.
-Removed, inspected and cleaned secondary clutch.
-Switched belt.
-Removed and cleaned carbs.
-Removed and inspected reed's.
-Removed and cleaned power valves.

We leave for the Snowies in two weeks.
Any help would be GREAT!!!

Thanks

Check and make sure all your Rave solenoid hoses are connected.. especially the little hoses (2 of them) that connect near the carbs...

I did notice that the one on the left carb does not have a hose connected to the right side. I could not find a disconnected hose. The right one has a hose connected to all 3 spots but the left only has two hoses connected. Should there be a hose connected here?

No. Have you disconnected the ECM connector? Check it for corrosion, apply a little dielectric grease and reinstall.

I just checked this and it looked good. I cleaned and applied dielectric grease.
Still have same problem.

I there anything in the secondary clutch that I could have missed? It looks ok but i've read about a bushing that goes bad. Maybe binding?

Can electrical act like this?

to drop to 6000 rpms.. I suspect it is not clutching especially since you have changed out the primary..

If the engine still sounds "healthy" when it is running at 6K, then maybe you have a bearing going out in the jack or drive shaft... If the engine doe snot sound healthy.. I would still suspect raves or possible electrical..
Have you done the simple stuff like change out the plugs and make sure they are not over-gapped?

I have 2 07's and have never had this sort of issue unless it was self inflicted...

Like RkTek said, check the hoses for the Rave. There is one nipple on the pto side solenoid above the carb that doesn't have a hose and is supposed to be open to atmosphere. The hose on the Mag side is a lot bigger than the nipple and is prone to leaking, causing the exhaust valves not to open far enough.

I added some pictures of the hose inside diameter compared to the nipples outside diameter. Also a picture of how others and myself fixed it using a piece of fuel hose to create a better seal.

Check out this link on how to test for a problem with your Rave set up.

Well here is where im at with it...

I tried everything that people said, but had no luck.
I brought the sled in because I thought it might be electrical.
Everything checked out good. After about the 6th Test run,
the sled started running good again. They found nothing.
I've tested it a couple times and the first time it worked good.
The second time it acted up a couple time then came out of it and ran good again. I'm heading out West this weekend and hope it makes it through the week.
If not, or if I find something, I'll post the results.
Thanks to all for the help.

Update...

Well this is what happened.
I took it out west and got 1 and 1/2 days of riding.
Sled worked good. Stoped for lunch. After lunch I started sled and
made it about 20 feet. The oil light came on and the sled died.
Plugs looked good, but sled smelled hot. Started back up and it ran good,
but the oil light kept going on and off. Tried to get sled back but only made it about a mile and it smelled very hot so we just towed it back. When we got it back I checked to see if it was pumping coolent and it was. I pulled the plugs and found coolent in the motor. Removed the head and o-rings looked good but both cylinders had coolent in them. Looks like bottom gasket, base gasket, or water pump seal. With 420 miles on motor and with a warranty, I thought I would just bring it in. Now Ski Doo is telling me they will not cover it. I paid a lot of money to have that motor put in so I could have that warranty. It is Bull Sh!t!!!!!
I also have an XP that the crank broke and I paid for them to put a new motor it that so I could have a warranty. Same thing. They said it is case by case and they can say no warranty if they want.

Well it is safe to say I will have a couple sleds for sale!!!!

So remember, next time get it in writing.
...oh wait, I do have it in writing. Guess it doesn't matter.

My sled is acting like this but no noticeable loss of coolant in the bottle? any updates...? or you still thinking it looks like the seal between the jugs and the crank case?

thanks

I think the problem with mine is the water pump seal.
If it were a gasket or o-ring it would leak all the time.
I have seen seals leak then stop leaking. if this is the case, it
WILL leak again. For now it's still working.
I'll keep you posted what I find.
