07 800r engine light

On my 07 800 i have a steady blinking engine light that does'nt go out. So far i have checked my air box censor and ecm and both are fine. Anyone have any suggestions of where to look. My nearest dealer is a couple hours awau so if i could figure it out without taking it to a dealer that would be great. Anyone have any ideas what to look for thanks.

on my 07 rev (and others), you would occasionally have to rotate the DSS to clear the blinking light. Once the sled is running, press in firmly and rotate 90 degrees and it may go out.

mine did the same thing two weeks ago. it was the head temp wires they were dirty .making a bad conniction cleaned it plugged it back in and it stopped . problem is it could be lots of things doing it i learned in trying to find why mine was doing it .also make sure the idle is adjusted right .. try turning it down after you start it i know this sounds crazy but just try it. it could also be bad gas after it sat all summer causing the knock sensor to read a knock in the engine. hope this helps
